Assistant Engineering Executive – Lift Management

About the role

The Assistant Engineering Executive (Lift) supports the lift performance and maintenance programme, ensuring all lifts meet regulatory and contractual standards while coordinating with lift companies, town council and internal engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor lift performance against TCMR requirements and Green Band targets for all divisions.
• Plan, schedule and oversee monthly lift testing, submit test reports and ensure defects are rectified before expiry.
• Process project‑management fee claims, health & safety (WSH) documentation and conduct fortnightly toolbox meetings.
• Handle invoicing for lift parts, minor repairs and major replacements, ensuring accurate certification and no duplicate entries.
• Investigate lift breakdowns, P‑trapped cases and chronic complaints; recommend agreed damages to the Town Council where appropriate.
• Use the TMS system to track servicing, response times and non‑contractual repairs, and assist in issuing warning letters.
• Conduct monthly lift inspections, verify defect rectification and submit inspection reports for endorsement.
• Prepare and submit the monthly Town Council management report, highlighting problematic lifts and recommended actions.

Required profile

• Strong analytical ability and attention to detail.
• Excellent coordination skills with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
• Knowledge of lift systems, testing procedures and regulatory standards.
• Experience in project management and health & safety compliance.
• Proficiency in preparing technical reports and managing data records.
