Assistant Manager, Community Engagement and Planning (Contract)

About the role

The Community Engagement & Planning Department is seeking a motivated Assistant Manager to lead and support environmental outreach programmes. You will work closely with NGOs, interest groups and community members to promote sustainability and public‑health initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a network and database of NGOs and interest groups to advance sustainability agendas.
• Design, implement and sustain community outreach programmes on environmental topics.
• Build strong relationships with public, private and people (3P) partners to foster pro‑environmental values.
• Manage joint events and programmes, including setting up educational booths, delivering talks, quizzes and games, often on weekends.
• Train and supervise volunteers for activities such as dengue prevention house visits, litter‑picking and recycling drives.
• Participate in partner meetings and community events during evenings or weekends as required.

Required profile

• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekday nights, weekends and public holidays.
• Strong interest in environmental public health and protection.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and leadership abilities.
• Resourceful, analytical and able to handle multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Physical stamina for door‑to‑door visits, standing for long periods and managing event booths.
