Assistant Manager - Event Services (Banquet)

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Event Services (Banquet) supports the Event Services Manager in delivering seamless events across Andaz Singapore’s venues. The role focuses on providing courteous, professional service to guests and internal teams while ensuring events run efficiently and meet the brand’s concept standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Event Services Manager in delivering efficient event operations in line with the concept statement.
• Provide courteous, professional service to guests and internal customers, handling complaints and inquiries promptly.
• Spend time on events during peak periods to ensure smooth execution and meet expectations.
• Support the preparation and regular update of the Event Service departmental budget in collaboration with the Director of Food and Beverage.
• Maintain organized event storage and audio‑visual areas, including proper handling of props and equipment.
• Prepare and post weekly work schedules that reflect business needs and performance indicators.
• Ensure compliance with hotel, company and local fire, safety and security regulations.
• Perform any other reasonable duties assigned by management.

Required profile

• Diploma in Hospitality or Tourism Management (preferred).
• Minimum 1 year experience as Assistant Manager or Team Leader in banquet service.
• Well‑developed communication and customer‑relation skills.
• Strong problem‑solving ability and a can‑do attitude.
• Leadership qualities with professional presentation.
