Assistant Manager / Manager – Operations Audit

About the role

Join Maybank Singapore's Audit Team as an Assistant Manager or Manager focusing on Operations Audit. You will work on anti‑money‑laundering (AML), sales and advisory, and operational fraud controls, applying a risk‑based mindset to protect the bank's processes and systems.

Key responsibilities

• Perform risk‑based audits using data analytics and emerging trend assessments rather than a simple checklist approach.
• Lead or contribute to audit projects depending on complexity and prior experience.
• Brainstorm innovative solutions to identified business issues and deliver value‑adding insights.
• Collaborate with auditors across the team to achieve desired audit outcomes.
• Produce audit deliverables, including audit reports, issue logs, closure follow‑ups, and workpapers, within time and resource constraints.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Banking & Finance, Business or related field.
• Professional certifications such as CPA, CIA, CISA are a plus.
• 2–8 years of experience in control functions within financial institutions.
• Working knowledge of AML control processes and related regulations, or in‑depth knowledge of branch operations, payment, anti‑fraud measures, sales and advisory practices, and operational risk management.
• Strong ability to use data for audit decision‑making and to interpret business issues through comprehensive analysis.
