Assistant Manager / Manager / Senior Manager, Analytics & Insights

About the role

This role works closely with business users to deepen understanding of Singapore's visitors, markets and tourism products, using data to guide planning and strategy and to identify growth opportunities. It covers the full data lifecycle, from research design and data collection through cleaning, analytics, insight generation and data visualisation and dashboards.

Key responsibilities

• Data analytics: apply statistical techniques to large, complex datasets and multiple sources; wrangle and transform data; turn insights into actionable recommendations
• Project and reporting management: manage data quality and compliance, act as in-house subject matter expert, and help build reports, insights and dashboards with business analysts, product managers and other stakeholders
• Tracking, stakeholder management and advisory: compile and track tourism performance data, advise on data collection, quality and management, and support business outcomes
• Data capability: lead greater use of data among business users and share best practices

Required profile

• Training in Data Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Applied Mathematics or a related quantitative discipline
• At least 5 years of experience in data collection, pre-processing, wrangling, analytics and visualisation, with advanced analytics
• Strong analytical, organisational and project management skills, and ability to synthesise data across sources
• Experience managing data and analytics projects and working with cross-functional teams
• Clear communication, presentation to senior management and strong command of written and spoken English

Required skills

• Proficiency in data manipulation and analytics tools such as R, Python and SQL
• Advanced Excel and Power Pivot
• Dashboards in QlikSense and QuickSight (advantageous)
