About the role

The Singapore Tourism Board's (STB) Communications Division sits within the Marketing Group. It supports STB in public relations, media engagement and marketing campaigns to drive corporate and destination messaging, safeguard its corporate identity and reputation, and promote its destination campaigns to the public, stakeholders and the media. The role provides media-related support to Line Units and Regional Offices and works closely with marketing teams.

Key responsibilities

• Communications planning and message development: advise on integrated PR approaches, develop and execute PR plans, and write press releases, speeches, message houses, media responses and interview talking points
• Media engagement (traditional, online and social): cultivate media, manage media events, handle media queries, suggest story angles, facilitate interviews and monitor and analyse media coverage
• Crisis communications and issues management: identify and anticipate issues, and develop communications plans to manage them
• Stakeholder engagement: advise internal and external stakeholders on media and PR strategy and execution
• Marketing communications: work with marketing teams to integrate media communications into marketing strategies and campaigns
• Annual report: oversee the production of STB's Annual Report
• Singapore Tourism Awards 2028: support the planning of the awards event

Required profile

• At least 3 years of experience in public relations, corporate communications or journalism
• Excellent command of written and spoken English
• Strong team player with good interpersonal skills to manage internal and external stakeholders
• Strong presentation and public speaking skills
• Highly motivated, organised, adaptable, able to multitask, perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Project management experience is a bonus
