Assistant Manager / Manager, Tenancy Management (Contract)

About the role

The Operations Management Department (OMD) of the SEHC Management Division manages new socially-conscious enterprise hawker centres and a few existing ones, working closely with appointed operators and managing agents. This contract position oversees a portfolio of 2-3 hawker centres and their operator agreements.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee a portfolio of 2-3 hawker centres managed by an operator or managing agent.
• Oversee and manage the contract and tenancy agreements to ensure compliance with national hawker policies.
• Monitor operator performance and carry out audit inspections.
• Review monthly and quarterly reports submitted by the operator.
• Handle feedback professionally, write reports and ensure issues are resolved in line with NEA's service standard.
• Respond with the operator to incidents, emergencies and service disruptions and report them to management.
• Maintain tenancy records and upload them to the Hawker Centre Management System monthly.
• Certify void reports for vacant stalls and certify invoices to be paid monthly.
• Prepare reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders, and engage stallholders and stakeholders as needed.

Required profile

• Enjoys field work and is comfortable in a market or hawker centre environment.
• Good grasp of operational issues such as facilities and tenancy management.
• Experience in project and facilities management, estate/tenancy management, enforcement or contracts management is an advantage.
• Able to work after office hours, weekends and public holidays when required.
• Physically fit and fully vaccinated; a valid driving licence and personal vehicle is an advantage.
