Manager, Trade Trust (Standards & Accreditation)

About the role

The Manager, Trade Trust (Standards & Accreditation) joins the TradeTrust team under the Sectoral Transformation Group. The role supports the Digital Utility - TradeTrust initiative, covering government-to-government projects, international standards development, and legal and accreditation matters.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute plans for government-to-government engagements and lead industry trials by collaborating with trading companies, financial institutions, logistics companies and business service providers.
• Advocate for IMDA's interests in standards development with international experts at international forums.
• Build strategic partnerships with international bodies such as the International Chamber of Commerce.
• Support team efforts, including legal and protection and indemnity matters.
• Research policies and trends related to trade digitalisation and transformative technologies.
• Foster strong relationships with industry partners and act as a trusted trade digitalisation subject matter expert internally and externally.
• Take part in projects beyond your direct line of responsibility to support higher-level organisational goals.

Required profile

• Background in international trade, economics, engineering or computer science preferred.
• Interest in international relations and information and communication technologies, particularly in international trade.
• Good understanding of cross-border trade; knowledge of trade financing processes is a bonus.
• Able to work independently or in a team and results-driven.

Required skills

• Stakeholder management and engagement skills.
• Project management: managing budget, timeline, scope and allocating work.
• Communication skills with a good grasp of English; proficiency in a second language is a bonus.
