Assistant Manager, Partnerships & Engagement

About the role

The Research Centre for Residue and Toxic Industrial Waste Management (TREASURES) at NTU is looking for an Assistant Manager to lead partnerships and engagement activities. You will connect academic research with industry, drive corporate collaborations, and shape the centre’s digital presence.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute industrial engagement events, workshops, seminars and industry visits from concept to delivery.
• Maintain and regularly update the centre’s website, publishing news, events and research milestones.
• Serve as the primary liaison for corporate partners and external institutes, coordinating grant funding and joint research projects.
• Provide secretariat support for industry‑focused meetings and advisory boards, including minute‑taking, data collection and preparation of reports and presentations.
• Handle confidential industrial data and collaboration agreements with utmost discretion.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, STEM or a related discipline.
• 3‑4 years of experience in event management, corporate communications or industrial liaison, preferably in a fast‑paced or complex organization.
• Experience within a university or research institute is a strong advantage.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for industry audiences.
• Proactive, resourceful and adaptable with strong interpersonal skills.
• Prior experience in the Building and Environment sector is preferred.
