Assistant Manager / Senior Assistant Manager, Dept of Medicine (CPH, 1-Year Contract)

About the role

The Assistant Manager / Senior Assistant Manager manages clinical implementation projects and operations of the Centre for Precision Health (CPH) at NUHS. Working with the Centre Director and a team of research coordinators, the role ensures research operations run smoothly and works closely with programme and centre leads on strategy planning and grant management. The primary programme is to help set up a local biorepository and clinical pre-emptive pharmacogenomics testing at NUHS. This is a 1-year contract.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver projects on time, to requirement and within budget
• Coordinate with Principal Investigators to plan and run clinical research implementation
• Support budget planning, multi-site legal agreements, study protocols and ethics reviews
• Support grant processing, including claims and report submissions, and submit progress and final reports to funders
• Organise project meetings and provide secretariat support
• Oversee a pilot bio-banking initiative and manage a team of research coordinators
• Help investigators secure funding and develop leadership skills for multidisciplinary teams
• Build relationships with clinical and academic stakeholders across clusters
• Handle manpower recruitment, deployment and staff engagement

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related discipline, preferably Biomedical Sciences, Genomics or Public Health
• At least 4-6 years of relevant experience in project management and healthcare projects
• Experience in human biomedical research and clinical implementation projects is beneficial
• Ability to lead and work closely with a team of multiple stakeholders
