Assistant Manager – Skai Restaurant

About the role

The Skai restaurant, located within Fairmont Singapore and Swissôtel The Stamford, is seeking an Assistant Manager to support daily operations and deliver memorable dining experiences. You will work closely with the Restaurant Manager and Culinary team to uphold the brand’s high standards of service, quality, and guest satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Restaurant Manager in overseeing all aspects of Skai’s daily service.
• Lead, motivate and develop the front‑of‑house team to ensure personalized guest interactions.
• Manage reservations, seating plans and staff deployment for optimal efficiency.
• Maintain service, presentation, cleanliness and food‑safety standards.
• Partner with the Culinary team to coordinate food and beverage delivery.
• Monitor outlet performance, drive upselling and implement cost‑control measures.
• Conduct briefings, training sessions and coaching to build a high‑performing, guest‑centric culture.
• Address guest feedback promptly and execute service recovery when needed.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of supervisory or management experience in premium, semi‑fine or luxury dining.
• Strong passion for food, wine and exceptional guest service.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proven leadership ability with experience coaching teams.
• Organizational and problem‑solving skills in a fast‑paced environment.
• Knowledge of food safety, restaurant operations and financial performance.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
