Assistant Producer

About the role

We are looking for an Assistant Producer to lead the Army’s media production team in creating compelling content for both public and internal communications. The role oversees the full production cycle—from ideation through post‑production—while developing team capabilities and managing stakeholder relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Propose creative content ideas aligned with current trends for the Army’s internal and external media platforms.
• Lead end‑to‑end media production, including ideation, pre‑production logistics, on‑ground shooting, and post‑production editing of video and photographs.
• Direct and mentor the media production team on technical skills during shoots to ensure all required angles and content are captured.
• Review and provide constructive creative and technical feedback on team outputs.
• Manage production timelines and coordinate with multiple stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of media collaterals.
• Respond swiftly to operational requirements, including standby support for media operations on short notice.

Required profile

• Education in Film Production, Communications, Media Studies, Visual Communications or a related field.
• Relevant experience in communications, filmmaking, or content production is preferred, though candidates with no experience may apply.
• Strong creative and critical thinking abilities with effective idea communication.
• Good interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, able to work collaboratively across teams.
• Resourceful, adaptable, and able to multi‑task and perform under pressure.

Required skills

• Proficiency in photography and videography, including technical knowledge of equipment and on‑ground production.
• Proficiency in post‑production and graphic design software, specifically the Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, After Effects, Illustrator).
• Knowledge of content strategy and ability to develop content that resonates with target audiences across various platforms.
