Assistant Project Engineer – ACMV Projects

About the role

The Assistant Project Engineer will support the Project Manager in delivering ACMV (Air‑Conditioning and Mechanical Ventilation) works across built‑environment projects in Singapore. The role ensures that all engineering, contractual and regulatory requirements are met while collaborating closely with the design team and other stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in managing projects from concept to completion, including planning, scheduling, budgeting and stakeholder coordination.
• Support the development and maintenance of accurate BIM models.
• Prepare and manage project documentation such as drawings, specifications and reports.
• Collaborate with clients under the guidance of the Project Engineer to meet their requirements.
• Verify changes to scope, schedule or budget and ensure compliance.
• Help resolve technical or contractual issues with senior team support.
• Monitor construction progress, contractor performance and quality standards.
• Coordinate with consultants and contractors as directed.
• Assist in project handover, permit acquisition and sustainability compliance.
• Promote safety activities and support inspections.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, Project Management or related field.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience; fresh graduates are welcome.
• Bizsafe Level 2 safety certification or higher (preferred).
• Strong independence and leadership skills in a team environment.

Required skills

• ACMV (Air‑Conditioning and Mechanical Ventilation) systems knowledge.
• Proficiency with BIM (Building Information Modeling) tools.
