Assistant Project Manager - Security & Access Control Solutions

About the role

A well-established systems integration firm delivering end-to-end security and access control solutions across commercial and institutional projects is hiring an Assistant Project Manager. You will own project delivery from inception to handover, working with clients, subcontractors and internal teams so that each project is delivered on time, within scope and on budget.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of access control and security system installations, managing scope, schedule and budget
• Develop and maintain project plans, track milestones and address risks or delays proactively
• Prepare and issue scopes of work for construction subcontractors
• Coordinate test planning, system implementation and on-site installation to meet quality and compliance standards
• Act as the main client contact during project execution
• Negotiate with vendors, subcontractors and suppliers to secure favourable terms
• Manage multiple concurrent projects and produce regular progress reports using Microsoft Office and project management tools
• Liaise with internal teams to align resources and resolve issues

Required profile

• 2-4 years of project management experience, preferably in security systems, building services or a related built-environment sector
• Proven ability to manage the full project lifecycle, including scope, scheduling, budgeting and stakeholder management
• Experience with test planning, system implementation and installation coordination
• Strong written and verbal English, with clear communication with subcontractors, vendors and clients
• Ability to handle several complex projects at once while keeping attention to detail
• Tertiary qualification in engineering, project management or a related field is advantageous
