Assistant Quantity Surveyor

About the role

The Assistant Quantity Surveyor supports the tendering and cost management processes for construction projects. You will work closely with the Managing Director and Contract Manager, handling daily tender portal checks, site visits, and documentation preparation.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor tender portals (GeBiz, SESAMI, Tender Board) and study tender documents and drawings.
• Raise tender queries, attend site show‑rounds, and measure quantities for sub‑structural, structural and architectural works.
• Source quotations from subcontractors and suppliers, perform price comparisons and ensure compliance with tender requirements.
• Prepare work orders, bills of quantities, schedules of rates, cost estimates, tender submissions and related addenda.
• Draft LOI/LOA, contract documents and track material quantities ordered.
• Attend weekly site meetings, evaluate site progress for interim and variation claims, and assess final account claims from the main contractor.

Required profile

• Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Building, Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience, preferably with a local main contractor.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Strong analytical mindset, ability to multitask under tight deadlines, and good communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and work independently as well as part of a team.
