Assistant Relationship Manager, Client Support Desk

About the role

RBC Wealth Management Asia is looking for an Assistant Relationship Manager to join its Client Support Desk in Singapore. Reporting to the Heads of Sales Management Asia, you will support the entire Wealth Management Asia business, contribute to its growth strategy, help train and develop new relationship managers and assist in onboarding new clients.

Key responsibilities

• Independently handle new account openings, account maintenance, asset transfers, loans, payments, order taking and product recommendations
• Develop and mentor the onboarding of new relationship managers
• Provide guidance on client and relationship manager queries about RBC WMA's offerings and product capabilities
• Ensure timely and accurate execution of client requests and transactions
• Manage client accounts and relationships independently, including product and service queries, pricing and execution
• Adhere to the bank's code of conduct, KYC, due diligence, AML and cross-border regulatory compliance
• Build good working relationships with stakeholders, partner with the Sales Management Office on growth initiatives and take part in projects improving WMA platforms and client experience

Required profile

• University degree in Business Management, Finance, Economics or another relevant professional finance qualification
• CACS Paper 1 and 2
• At least 3-5 years' experience in private banking or wealth management, preferably in roles such as ARM or client due diligence
• Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, highly articulate in written and verbal business communication
• Knowledge of investment products and external regulations, and experience across KYC/AML/compliance
• Fluent English; Mandarin, Cantonese, Bahasa or Thai is a plus because clients from North Asia and Southeast Asia will be spoken to
