Assistant Sales Manager

About the role

The Assistant Sales Manager will drive revenue growth for a luxury hotel by generating new corporate and group business, nurturing existing accounts, and promoting all hotel facilities. This position works closely with the Director of Sales & Marketing to meet quarterly sales targets.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and secure new corporate FIT and group accounts through calls, site visits, trade shows and overseas trips.
• Maintain and expand relationships with existing clients, ensuring repeat business and upselling across rooms, club residences, catering, F&B, and spa services.
• Conduct a minimum of 20 sales activities per week, including calls, entertainment, and site inspections.
• Collaborate with internal departments to fulfill guest requirements and deliver seamless experiences.
• Monitor competitor activity and share insights with senior sales leadership.
• Organise quarterly client‑engagement events and support training of new team members.

Required profile

• Diploma in Hospitality Management or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of room‑sales experience in a luxury hotel environment.
• Strong selling abilities and solid understanding of sales processes.
• Ability to develop action plans and present results to senior management.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Working knowledge of S&C Opera Cloud.
• Capability to train and mentor junior sales staff.
