Assistant Sales Manager

About the role

The Assistant Sales Manager will drive business growth for a luxury hotel through proactive direct sales, marketing, telemarketing, and client engagement activities. This role oversees corporate FIT and group accounts, creates action plans, and works closely with multiple hotel departments to meet guest requirements and revenue targets.

Key responsibilities

• Generate and maximize sales and upselling opportunities by acquiring new corporate FIT and group accounts while nurturing existing relationships.
• Schedule meetings, conduct site inspections, and coordinate business deals that promote the hotel’s facilities, including Club Residences, catering, F&B, and spa.
• Complete a minimum of 20 sales activities per week, such as calls, entertainment visits, and site tours.
• Collaborate with relevant departments to ensure guest requirements are met and exceed individual room‑sales targets set by management.
• Prospect new business through phone solicitation, on‑site visits, industry events, trade exhibitions, and overseas sales trips.
• Develop quarterly action plans with the Director of Sales & Marketing to address account needs and monitor competitor activities.
• Organise quarterly client‑engagement activities and promote teamwork through daily communication with other departments.

Required profile

• Diploma in Hospitality Management or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of room‑sales experience in a luxury hotel environment.
• Strong selling skills and solid understanding of sales processes.
• Ability to train new team members.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of S&C Opera Cloud.
