Assistant/Deputy Manager – Projects (Estates & Development)

About the role

The Assistant/Deputy Manager, Projects will support Singapore Polytechnic’s campus rejuvenation, focusing on sustainable infrastructure, integrated design, and seamless connectivity for students and staff. This role bridges facility management, consultants, and internal stakeholders to deliver high‑quality built environments.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in planning, development and management of SP infrastructure and facilities.
• Coordinate architectural, interior design and MEP requirements, ensuring cross‑functional alignment.
• Provide technical leadership, oversee team deliverables, and maintain quality standards.
• Attend design and technical meetings, offering inputs and clarifications.
• Review and influence consultants’ proposals to meet operational needs.
• Develop work plans, schedules and control mechanisms to minimise operational disruptions.
• Act as liaison between FM and consultants, documenting workflows and interdependencies.
• Secure necessary sign‑offs and approvals, ensuring construction follows approved designs.
• Stay updated on Singapore Standards and authority requirements.
• Manage stakeholder relationships, including government agencies and community partners.
• Prepare budget plans, monitor expenditures and ensure projects stay within budget.
• Draft approval papers and support the broader campus planning team.

Required profile

• Proven experience in infrastructure or campus planning projects.
• Strong technical leadership and ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
• Familiarity with Singapore building standards and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Capability to develop and control project budgets.
