About the role
The National Environment Agency (NEA) is seeking an experienced professional to lead the review and enhancement of the licensing framework for Singapore's funeral services industry. This individual contributor role sits within the Memorial Facilities Planning Division and works at the intersection of policy, regulation, and industry engagement.
Key responsibilities
- Review the existing licensing framework, identify regulatory gaps and propose policy enhancements.
- Design, administer and analyse industry landscape surveys to pinpoint capacity gaps.
- Develop enforcement and compliance frameworks for the updated licensing regime.
- Engage with industry associations, trade bodies and other government agencies to ensure proposals are practical.
- Provide data‑driven insights to support evidence‑based policy decisions.
- Adapt to evolving priorities and contribute to cross‑divisional initiatives as required.
Required profile
- Experience in policy, regulatory or planning roles.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis and data visualisation.
- Demonstrated stakeholder‑engagement skills, especially with industry bodies.
- Familiarity with government procurement processes.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
