Associate, Capital Markets Group

About the role

Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) is hiring an Associate Capital Markets professional in Singapore. The role sits within a client-focused primary capital markets business covering Investment Grade, Leveraged Capital Markets and Specialised Finance, supporting senior team members on complex deals and contributing to the growth of the franchise across APAC.

Key responsibilities

• Take part in every stage of capital markets transactions, from opportunity identification to execution and post-close asset management
• Support senior team members on Investment Grade loans, Leveraged Capital Markets and Specialised Finance deals
• Produce market research on pricing trends, deal structures, participations and investor activity, and prepare underwriting application documentation
• Analyse investor and sponsor requirements on risk appetite, structure and pricing to assess underwriting risk and support syndication
• Identify new opportunities through financial analysis, pricing and liquidity insights, and help drive revenue initiatives such as ratings advisory or project bonds
• Collaborate with regional and global distribution teams and with banks and sponsors to broaden client relationships

Required profile

• At least four years of experience in banking or finance, ideally in syndicated loans, project finance or leveraged finance
• Undergraduate degree from a reputable institution; CFA or a master's degree is advantageous
• Detailed knowledge of global capital markets products (loans and bonds) and institutional investor requirements
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to build relationships with clients, colleagues and external partners
