Associate Consultant Interventional Radiologist

About the role

National University Health System is seeking an Associate Consultant Interventional Radiologist to join its Ng Teng Fong General Hospital. The role centres on delivering high-quality patient care through advanced minimally invasive procedures in a facility focused on innovation and patient-centred care.

Key responsibilities

• Perform interventional radiology procedures such as line and drain insertions, image-guided biopsy, angiography, angioplasty, embolization, tumour ablations and vascular interventions.
• Interpret diagnostic imaging studies including CT scans, MRIs, ultrasounds and x-rays.
• Provide stay-out on-call service for interventional radiology and stay-out call duties for diagnostic radiology.
• Work with referring physicians and other healthcare providers to plan effective treatments.
• Document procedures, patient progress and outcomes accurately and timely in electronic medical records.
• Take part in multidisciplinary team meetings on complex cases.
• Keep up to date with advances in interventional radiology through continuing education.
• Teach and mentor residents and medical students.

Required profile

• Medical degree (e.g. MBBS, MD) from an accredited medical school.
• Board certification or eligibility in Radiology (e.g. FRCR).
• Current valid medical licence to practice in Singapore.
• Proven experience performing a wide range of interventional radiology procedures.
• Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to patient care and safety.
• Preferred: research experience and/or publications in interventional radiology.
