Associate Director – Urban Design & Master Planning

About the role

Cistri is seeking an Associate Director to lead the delivery of complex urban design, master‑planning and built‑form projects across the Asia‑Pacific region. You will work closely with clients, multidisciplinary teams and our partner Urbis to shape vibrant, sustainable places.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of urban design, master‑planning and built‑form projects from concept through detailed design.
• Manage project scope, budgets, resources, timelines and commercial performance.
• Prepare and present high‑quality proposals, tenders and client presentations.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, generating repeat work and new business opportunities.
• Provide leadership, coaching and mentoring to team members.
• Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture.
• Drive collaboration across Cistri and Urbis to deliver integrated, multidisciplinary solutions.
• Contribute to business planning, revenue and utilisation targets.
• Represent Cistri within the industry and monitor market trends.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in urban design, architecture, landscape architecture, planning or a related discipline.
• Proven experience delivering complex projects in a consultancy or design environment.
• Strong client relationship management and business development capabilities.
• Demonstrated leadership and team‑development skills.
• Commercially minded with experience managing budgets and forecasting.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
