Associate Engineer, Electrical Test Process

About the role

GlobalFoundries is looking for an Associate Engineer for its electrical test process within test engineering, based in Woodlands, Singapore. The role involves performing 12-hour shift operations to support E-Test production through equipment setup, troubleshooting, process control and continuous improvement, while meeting quality, safety and operational requirements. Candidates without prior work experience are welcome to apply, as comprehensive training and development will be provided.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and optimise E-Test setup and job files so that wafers are tested accurately and efficiently.
• Support daily test operations, including test interruptions, probe-mark validation, probe card online cleaning and handling of test equipment and fixtures.
• Monitor test performance metrics and drive continuous improvement through corrective actions, process optimisation, yield enhancement and improvement projects.
• Partner with engineers, specialists and equipment suppliers to resolve technical issues while complying with SOPs, safety standards and EHS requirements.
• Perform manual test execution to support engineering activities and troubleshooting.
• Carry out all activities safely and responsibly, supporting Environmental, Health, Safety and Security requirements.

Required profile

• Diploma in Electrical & Electronics, Mechatronics or Mechanical Engineering.
• Preferred: prior related internship or co-op experience, and demonstrated leadership experience in workplace, school projects or competitions.
• Preferred: project management skills, strong interest in using AI tools and emerging technologies, and 1 to 2 years of experience in test engineering or wafer-fab production.
