Associate Engineer, Equipment Engineering (F7 Implant)

About the role

GlobalFoundries, a full-service semiconductor foundry, is hiring an Associate Engineer for its F7 Implant module in Woodlands, Singapore. The role supports the running of production by keeping equipment ready and fit for use, and involves 12-hour shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Perform 12-hour shifts to support production in the module and ensure equipment readiness and fitness for production.
• Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) and calibration on time.
• Assist engineers in installing and hooking up new equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and help minimise downtime.
• Help implement equipment improvement projects.
• Take part in the Quality Improvement Team programme to raise productivity and output quality, and feed back to engineers so equipment performance meets module objectives.
• Maintain good housekeeping in the production area, following safety practices and keeping tools and equipment secure.

Required profile

• Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Mechanical or Microelectronics Engineering.
• 1 year of experience in a semiconductor equipment role is preferred.
• Able to work 12-hour rotating shifts.
