Associate Engineer, Technical Training

About the role

This onsite position supports employee training activities, including maintaining training materials, documentation, competency assessments, certification records and training system data. The role works with leaders and stakeholders so that training is completed, compliant with GMP/GDP and operational requirements, and aligned with business needs. It also covers training updates, data review, skill gap identification and continuous improvement. The team member must be onsite for all scheduled workdays; no relocation assistance is provided.

Key responsibilities

• Own and manage the employee training system / LMS, including training material development, documentation, competency frameworks, certification and practical assessment processes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to set and maintain training standards and governance, ensuring compliance with GMP, GDP and business requirements.
• Analyze training matrix data and develop performance metrics to identify skill gaps, measure training effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
• Facilitate training and competency assessments using classroom, on-the-job and one-on-one coaching methods, according to approved materials.
• Work with department heads and people managers to align training with business objectives through training needs analysis.
• Update training programs for changes in policies, procedures and technology, and keep production training documentation ready for audits.
• Support digital transformation and other continuous improvement activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in engineering with 0 to 1 year of relevant experience, or a recognized engineering diploma with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to follow standard operating procedures, safety and quality policies, and to apply GMP/GDP principles to work processes and assigned SOI/WIs in the LMS.
• Communication, training and leadership skills.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lb occasionally and to stand for long periods; hearing protection required in a light-to-moderate noise environment.
• Minimum 20/30 vision in each eye, with or without correction and no colour deficiency.
• Overtime or irregular hours may be required.
