Associate Engineer (Thin Film)

About the role

GlobalFoundries, a full-service semiconductor foundry, is hiring an Associate Engineer (Thin Film) at its Science Park site in Singapore. The role supports production ramp-up through process qualification, productivity improvement and tool release, working either as an individual contributor or as a manager.

Key responsibilities

• Create, analyse and review technical charts and data such as SPC, DOE, split lot, Space, Si-view, JMP and Klarity
• Match processes between equipment to reduce variation and improve tool matching
• Identify chronic issues and set up improvement programmes and procedures
• Work with cross-functional teams on yield improvement, excursions and best practices across fabs
• Run continuous improvement plans to raise performance indices and optimise productivity
• Carry out all work safely and in line with environmental, health, safety and security requirements
• Collaborate on other projects and assignments as needed

Required profile

• Diploma in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or a related field
• 1-3 years of experience in a similar engineering role, preferably in manufacturing or the semiconductor industry
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, and excellent written and verbal communication
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
