Associate/Assistant Business Analyst, Transformation Division (1-Year Contract)

About the role

This is a 1-year contract position supporting the MAS organisation-wide digitalisation efforts. You will work with business departments to apply existing Whole-of-Government (WOG) digital and AI tools to improve work processes and outcomes. The role offers hands-on exposure to applied AI, business process improvement and stakeholder engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Engage business users to understand pain points, gather requirements and map existing workflows, turning them into clear problem statements and use cases.
• Identify and configure suitable existing WOG digital and AI tools (e.g. Microsoft Copilot, Desk, Pair and ChatGPT), including prompts, instructions, knowledge sources and simple workflows.
• Develop, test and refine prompts to improve the accuracy, consistency and usefulness of AI-generated outputs.
• Document configurations, prompts, workflows and usage guidance so solutions can be used and maintained consistently.
• Support project management activities such as maintaining workplans, coordinating with stakeholders and following up on deliverables.
• Keep up with new capabilities in WOG digital and AI tools and share relevant practices with the team and business users.

Required profile

• Hands-on experience using and configuring generative AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot or ChatGPT.
• Strong business analysis skills, including requirements gathering, workflow mapping, process documentation and solution testing.
• Structured, detail-oriented approach to testing, documentation and follow-through.
• Good communication skills and ability to work with non-technical users.
• Proactive and self-directed, able to manage multiple use cases and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
