Associate/Assistant Director, Asset Mgmt & Funds (Funds Team)

About the role

The Funds Team in MAS' Asset Management and Funds Division supports the sustainable growth of Singapore's asset management industry and strengthens its position as a global funds centre for co-locating fund management and fund domiciliation. The team monitors global trends in the asset management industry and funds ecosystem, including enhancing fund structures such as trusts, limited partnerships and the Singapore Variable Capital Company (VCC), and driving projects to modernise and digitalise the funds ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Administer MAS' grants and tax incentives for funds
• Contribute to the implementation and refinement of the portal system currently under development
• Work closely with industry players to review tax incentive and grant applications, evaluate KPIs and handle exceptions

Required profile

• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Good interpersonal skills and strong team player
• Careful and meticulous worker; independent and motivated to drive projects to completion
• Able to manage multiple priorities and stakeholder needs in a fast-paced environment and adapt to change
• Prior experience supporting new technology systems or in the asset management industry is not required but is an advantage

Required skills

• Knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel
