AVP - Private Banker, International Partners Team

About the role

Barclays Private Bank is recruiting an Assistant Vice President (AVP) for its International Partners Team in Singapore. The role delivers strong sales and business performance by building and maintaining proactive, long-term client relationships, while protecting Barclays' reputation through sound risk decisions within the client's risk profile and the regulatory framework.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow client relationships and acquire new clients, identifying solutions that meet a wide range of client needs
• Understand each client's strategy through regular proactive contact, respond to queries and requests, and spot opportunities for long-term commercial reward
• Manage operational, reputational, financial crime and credit risk for the portfolio to avoid undue exposure to Barclays
• Ensure all activities comply with regulatory requirements, the Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays policies and standards
• Advise and influence decision-making, contribute to policy development and collaborate with other functions and business divisions
• Lead a team, set objectives, coach employees, appraise performance and determine reward outcomes; if leading, follow the LEAD leadership behaviours (Listen, Energise, Align, Develop)
• Consult on complex issues, advise People Leaders on escalated matters, and help develop policies and controls
• Analyse data from multiple internal and external sources, communicate complex information and influence stakeholders

Required profile

• CACS 1 and 2 certification
• Experience covering UHNW individuals, family offices and institutional investors across Asia and/or Europe
• Proven track record in raising new capital, growing AUM and maintaining long-term investor relationships
• Solid knowledge of private markets, alternative investments, multi-asset strategies and cross-border investment solutions
• Ability to partner with portfolio management, investment and advisory teams
• Business development, investor relations and client servicing skills, with relevant regulatory qualifications or willingness to complete required licensing
• Legal right to work in Singapore; applicants holding or needing a Barclays-sponsored visa must declare it
