Backend Engineer - Risk Control System

About the role

We are looking for a Backend Engineer to design, develop, and optimise our risk control system. You will work on a real‑time engine that monitors and prevents fraud, ensuring high availability and low latency for critical financial operations.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop core components of the risk control system, including rule engines, model calculations and anti‑fraud detection.
• Build and maintain real‑time data pipelines for collection, cleaning and computation.
• Create and enhance tools for managing risk control strategies based on business needs.
• Continuously monitor system performance, optimise efficiency and guarantee high availability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, FinTech or a related field.
• At least 1 year of backend development experience; experience with risk control, payment or anti‑fraud systems is a plus.
• Strong coding practices and ability to collaborate across departments.

Required skills

• Proficiency in at least one backend language such as Go or Python.
• Experience with middleware technologies including MySQL, Kafka, Redis and Elasticsearch.
• Familiarity with big‑data or stream‑processing frameworks (e.g., Flink, Spark, Hadoop) is advantageous.
