Biology Teacher (JC Level)

About the role
The school is looking for an enthusiastic Biology teacher to join its faculty and deliver high‑quality instruction to junior college students. The role involves planning and delivering curriculum‑aligned lessons, inspiring curiosity about the life sciences, and nurturing a classroom culture that values analytical reasoning and independent learning.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver engaging, standards‑based Biology lessons for JC students.
- Establish a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages critical thinking.
- Utilise diverse assessment strategies, including quizzes, labs, projects and examinations, to monitor and support student progress.
- Provide timely feedback and mentorship to help students achieve academic goals.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers to develop interdisciplinary projects and share best practices.
Required profile
- University degree with at least honours in Biology or a closely related discipline.
- Teacher‑training qualification such as a PGDE or equivalent.
- Preferably former Ministry of Education (MOE) teacher with proven experience teaching Biology at the JC level.
