Biotechnologist (Cell & Gene Therapy)

About the role

Lonza is seeking a Biotechnologist to join its Cell & Gene Therapy manufacturing team at the Tuas site in Singapore. You will work in a cGMP‑controlled environment, supporting the production of therapeutic proteins and gaining exposure to cutting‑edge biotechnology.

Key responsibilities

• Apply cGMP, aseptic techniques and clean‑room practices during manufacturing.
• Complete and review batch records with right‑first‑time accuracy.
• Maintain training status and perform required GMP tasks.
• Conduct environmental monitoring and suite support activities such as equipment cleaning and housekeeping.
• Handle non‑routine situations (deviations, equipment alarms) according to site procedures.
• Use electronic systems (DMS, LIMS, Trackwise) for documentation and CAPA management.
• Participate in continuous‑improvement initiatives and other duties assigned by the Lead/Manager.

Required profile

• Degree or equivalent experience in a science/engineering discipline; fresh graduates are welcome.
• Knowledge of biopharmaceutical processing and cGMP applications is an asset.
• Experience in a manufacturing or clean‑room environment is preferred.
• Positive, team‑oriented attitude with strong communication skills.
• Willingness to work a rotating 12‑hour shift pattern.
