Business Analyst (Consultant)

About the role

The Business Analyst (Consultant) will work across business stakeholders, product owners, operational teams and external vendors to shape digital solutions for government and public‑sector initiatives. This contract role requires strong analytical skills, agile experience and the ability to translate complex requirements into clear, actionable artefacts.

Key responsibilities

• Engage stakeholders to elicit, analyse and document business requirements.
• Translate requirements into functional specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows and wireframes.
• Conduct impact assessments, gap analysis and recommend process improvements.
• Facilitate workshops, sprint refinement sessions and user‑acceptance discussions.
• Collaborate with Scrum teams to ensure accurate translation of requirements into system solutions.
• Support solution design involving OutSystems, AWS services, APIs and external integrations.
• Review functional designs for alignment with business objectives.
• Assist in release planning, backlog grooming and change‑management activities.
• Support SIT/UAT, incident investigations and production issue resolution.
• Prepare and maintain documentation, training materials and operational procedures.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst.
• Proven experience in agile‑scrum methodology and end‑to‑end project lifecycles.
• Background building government or public‑sector digital products.
• Experience integrating legacy systems with modern platforms.
