Business Analyst Intern (6 Months)

About the role

Tencent Finance is looking for a 6-month Business Analyst intern. The role sits within the Finance IT area and covers business analysis, AI application implementation, testing and launch support, and project assistance. The company supports staff growth through finance training, mentorship, job rotation and certification support.

Key responsibilities

• Take part in global Finance IT projects by understanding business processes, gathering and analysing user requirements and turning business problems into clear system and product requirements.
• Map business processes, user scenarios and system logic, and prepare requirement documents, process flows and product prototypes.
• Work with business users, engineers and other stakeholders to support delivery from requirement analysis and design through development, testing and launch.
• Help implement AI across Finance IT scenarios, using AI tools to build prototypes, workflows or productivity tools, and supporting design, testing and validation of use cases such as intelligent Q&A, document/invoice processing, intelligent review and data analytics.
• Support functional testing and UAT, including test case preparation, issue tracking and follow-up, and pre- and post-launch checks.
• Review operational data and user feedback, and help prepare user guides, launch communications and adoption materials.
• Research products and solutions, support vendor communication and solution comparison, and assist with project documentation and progress tracking.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate or postgraduate degree; advanced undergraduates and postgraduates encouraged to apply.
• Background in Information Systems, Information Technology, Business Analytics, Computer Science or similar fields preferred; candidates from Finance, Accounting or other business disciplines are also welcome.
• Commitment to at least 6 months, 5 days per week.
• Good English reading, writing and communication skills; Mandarin is a plus.

Nice to have

• Internship or project experience in business analysis, product, information systems, digital transformation or enterprise systems.
• Experience using AI tools to solve practical problems.
• Familiarity with Figma or other prototyping/process design tools.
• Basic knowledge of SQL, data analytics or BI tools.
• Interest in Finance, Accounting, Tax or Travel & Expense processes.
