Business Development Lead Consultant - Health & Benefits Advisory

About the role

A global advisory and insurance broker is looking for a Business Development Lead Consultant in Singapore through its partner agency. The consultant works with leading companies on complex projects covering the design, communication, funding, implementation and management of health, group, flexible and wellness benefits programs. The role combines project management, client relationship management and new business development.

Key responsibilities

• Solicit and close new business within established parameters and manage client relationships in benefits advisory and wellness to meet financial targets.
• Deliver quality advice and solutions, ensure clients are represented in the company's Benefits Data Source, and develop efficient plan designs and funding arrangements.
• Benchmark benefits across in-service benefits and perquisites, and work within a benefits optimisation framework to maximise value while keeping costs sustainable.
• Lead executive interviews, run employee benefit surveys and focus groups, and analyse cost, claims and utilisation data.
• Design and redesign flexible and voluntary benefit programs, and lead the local delivery of health and wellness solutions.
• Work with regional communications experts on benefit communications and manage complex client projects on time, within budget and to a high standard.
• Understand the local health and wellness vendor marketplace and present clear analysis of plan funding models (insured, self-insured, re-insurance).

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and at least 5 years of experience in business development, health and benefits consulting or brokerage.
• Proven track record in a sales management role and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Results-driven, with in-depth knowledge of sales methodology and processes.
• Certifications: M5, M9, HI, ComGI, BCP and PGI.
