About the role

Applied Materials, a global leader in materials science and engineering solutions for semiconductors and advanced displays, is hiring for a Business Management Operations position in Singapore. The role sits at the interface of manufacturing and account teams, turning customer configuration needs into buildable systems and managing order fulfilment.

Key responsibilities

• Work in cross-functional groups to turn customer configuration requirements into buildable systems within manufacturing business guidelines.
• Process non-standard requests (NSRs) from customers with Product Line Managers, Product Managers and Engineering.
• Act as primary interface with Manufacturing Project Managers and coordinate order shipment status and configuration changes between manufacturing and account teams.
• Communicate commitment status and maintenance to customers, including source inspections.
• Manage order fulfilment from forecast, manufacturing slot request, booking closure to shipment.
• Initiate customer-requested inside lead-time change requests for approval.
• Prepare the clean booking checklist (CBC) so purchase orders, spec demonstration approvals (SDA), clarification letters and other requirements are complete.
• Escalate to management as needed to resolve booking or revenue issues.

Required profile

• Conceptual and practical expertise in own discipline and basic knowledge of related disciplines.
• Knowledge of best practices and how the area fits with others, awareness of the competition and market differentiators.
• Able to act as a resource for colleagues with less experience and lead small, low-risk projects.
• Ability to solve complex problems, exercise judgment across multiple sources of information and explain difficult or sensitive information while building consensus.

The role is full time, with travel of about 10% of the time. Relocation is not eligible.
