Buyer (B2) – Procurement Role

About the role

As a Buyer at Applied Materials, you will support our state‑of‑the‑art manufacturing facilities by procuring materials, supplies, machinery and services. You will work closely with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure a seamless flow of goods that enables fast, high‑quality production.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain supply continuity to meet manufacturing speed and quality targets.
• Track orders, verify deliveries, approve payments and keep accurate records.
• Drive timely shipment of parts, resolve shipping, receiving and billing issues.
• Collaborate with suppliers on demand‑supply planning, pull‑ins and push‑outs to meet MRP requirements.
• Lead inventory and excess‑/zero‑stock reduction initiatives.
• Negotiate purchases and RFQs to achieve the lowest total cost while ensuring quality and reliability.
• Resolve supply problems with engineering, manufacturing and program managers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 1‑2 years of procurement or related experience.
• Understanding of key industry business drivers.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
