Buyer – Procurement of Mechanical & Electrical Parts

About the role

The Buyer will manage the end‑to‑end procurement of mechanical, electrical and fabricated components required for our projects. Working closely with planners, engineers and quality teams, you will ensure timely delivery of parts that meet specifications and support factory production.

Key responsibilities

• Issue and manage purchase orders for parts according to project BOMs.
• Monitor PO confirmations, track supplier delivery schedules and update the ERP system.
• Communicate proactively with suppliers to clarify details, expedite deliveries and resolve discrepancies.
• Follow up on open orders, track delivery dates and align procurement timelines with project milestones.
• Support BOM reviews, ensuring accurate part numbers, lead times and pricing in the ERP.
• Assist in sourcing non‑standard components for low‑complexity engineering changes.
• Collaborate with planners, engineers, quality and receiving teams to address non‑conformances or delivery mismatches.
• Maintain documentation such as quotes, order confirmations and certificates, complying with internal controls and SOPs.

Required profile

• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, matrixed organization with global stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% domestically and internationally for supplier visits.
• Strong attention to detail and proactive communication style.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems for purchase order and BOM management.
• Knowledge of procurement processes for mechanical, electrical and fabricated parts.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications and assess supplier capability.
