Capital Markets Intern

About the role

Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) is recruiting a Capital Markets Intern for its Asian Investment Banking Division - Capital Markets Group (AIBD - CMG). The internship runs from 11 January 2027 to 30 June 2027 and is based in Singapore. The role primarily supports the function within the CMG practice covering loans and bonds origination and execution and loan distribution. Only Singaporean and PR students are eligible.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare pitchbooks and materials for client meetings and follow-ups
• Provide regular market and pricing updates for internal and external clients
• Perform analytical work for client funding or corporate requirements
• Support the deal lead in the internal approval process for loans and bonds deals
• Coordinate between internal and external stakeholders and deal team members to ensure smooth execution from mandate to deal closing
• Carry out deal execution tasks such as due diligence, structuring, documentation, ratings, investor marketing, roadshow planning, settlement and post-mortems

Required profile

• Basic accounting and a strong finance background
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Energetic, determined problem solver with a strong work ethic
• Team player

Required skills

• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Word
• Ability to build complex financial models
