Care Associate - Home Care

About the role

NTUC Health, a provider of home care, senior day care, nursing home and active ageing services in Singapore, is looking for a Care Associate. You will provide home-based personal care that helps clients carry out their daily activities so they can stay in their own homes.

Key responsibilities

• Assist clients with basic range-of-motion exercises and full-body joint movements
• Safely transfer and reposition clients using correct lifting and transfer techniques
• Help clients maintain personal hygiene, showering and grooming
• Run errands such as grocery shopping, with or without clients
• Prepare simple, nutritious meals according to clients' dietary needs or preferences
• Do light housekeeping to help prevent falls and slips
• Accompany clients to medical appointments and act as a medical escort when needed
• Offer companionship and encourage meaningful social interaction and activities

Required profile

• Certification in healthcare-related courses
• Good interpersonal skills
• Passion for community services and a service-oriented attitude
• Nice to have: ability to speak one or more dialects to communicate with dialect-speaking clients
