Cargo Duty Manager (Hub Ops and ULD Management)

About the role

Singapore Airlines' Cargo Division is looking for a Duty Manager for its Cargo Hub Operations and ULD Management team. The successful candidate will be in charge of the shift and the decision-maker for cargo hub operations during the shift.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor aircraft rotation, disruptions and cargo operations so that all processes comply with airline requirements and company procedures.
• Manage and track freighter aircraft movements system-wide, and follow up with downstream stations for adequate resources when inbound flights arrive late (more than 1.5 hours).
• Follow up on flight cancellations, re-routing, re-scheduling and diversions, and approve flight delays caused by commercial, operational, technical or other issues (crew, FTL, airport or airspace closures, curfews).
• Monitor charters, extra flight services and relief flights, and coordinate charter operations.
• Ensure stations submit Delay Occurrence Reports promptly and query them if the cause of a delay is not explained properly.
• Manage freighter-related crises until the Crisis Management Centre is set up, and monitor Hub GHA performance against Service Level Agreements.
• Plan and deploy staff, equipment and other resources, and liaise with Ground Handling Agents on export, import, ECC, Coolport and E-Hub operations.
• Ensure special cargoes (Dangerous Goods, perishables, vulnerable and sensitive shipments such as HUM and DIP) are handled according to SIA procedures, and follow up on all irregularities reported.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent from a university.
• Safety and operations focused, service-oriented, with strong communication, analytical and interpersonal skills.
• Preferred: cargo operations, weight & balance or customer handling experience, and a driving licence.
• Open to working rotating shifts.

Required skills

• System knowledge and IT skills, such as MS Word, Excel and RX.
