Senior Storekeeper - Linen Services

About the role

NHG is hiring a Senior Storekeeper / Storekeeper for its Linen Services, reporting to the Assistant Supervisor / Supervisor and responsible for keeping daily linen operations running smoothly. The role covers soiled linen collection, linen supply and distribution, curtain and uniform management, and general storehouse duties.

Key responsibilities

• Collect soiled linen through the pneumatic chute and manually from the soiled linen bay, then move it to the loading bay
• Segregate linen types used in mTTSH, NCID, AMK Rehab and ICH and prepare, pack and deliver supplies to departments
• Distribute linen via the AGV system and by manual top-up, and sort incoming linen onto AGVs and shelves
• Assist the supervisor with curtain inventory, scheduling and ad-hoc requests such as terminal cleaning and track maintenance
• Track special items collected and returned, receive validated clean items from the laundry vendor and pack them for end users
• Segregate uniforms, manage the uniform store, assist with issuance and quality control, and support uniform procurement
• Sieve out defective linen for mending and mend it by hand when needed
• Assist with inventory counts, help dispose of condemned linen, do daily housekeeping and follow infection control and fire safety measures

Required profile

• Minimum GCE 'N' / 'O' Level
• Basic numerical and mathematical literacy
• Strong communication skills in English and ability to multi-task under pressure
• Positive attitude, initiative, physical fitness and a passion for service excellence
• Healthcare or supply chain experience is an advantage
