Cell Leader (Gate 3) - MRO Operations

About the role

Pratt & Whitney, part of RTX, is looking for Operations Cell Leaders to run day-to-day activities in its Aerospace MRO environment. The Cell Leader oversees a cross-functional cell, keeping maintenance and assembly work, material flow and production schedules safe, efficient and compliant, with a focus on improving turnaround time, cost and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and oversee operations cells to meet the required metrics and goals.
• Supervise Assistant Foremen, Workshop Engineers, Technicians and Inspectors and build a self-directed, multi-skilled workforce through planned skills training.
• Guide the team toward quality and on-time delivery targets and carry out root cause analysis when targets are missed.
• Implement production and overtime schedules, allocate manpower and resources and control production, material flow and inventory.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and assist the Department Manager with cost issues to support revenue and profit goals.
• Interface with Engineering, Quality, HR, Customer Service and Materials, and ensure compliance with CORE, EH&S and ethics standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or an equivalent discipline.
• 2-3 years of experience in production, operations or manufacturing with supervisory management.
• Proven ability to manage and motivate teams, plus demonstrated problem-solving and leadership skills.
• Lean manufacturing or repair experience with a continuous improvement mindset.
