Central Operations Head

About the role

The Central Operations Head provides strategic leadership and operational oversight across key banking functions, ensuring efficiency, risk management and service excellence. Reporting to the Chief Executive of the Singapore Branch, this senior role drives performance across Operations, IT and Project Management to support the bank’s business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Central Operations Group, covering Wealth Operations, Treasury, Trade Finance, Loan Operations, Project Management and Information Technology.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements and industry standards; monitor operational risk indicators and oversee business continuity planning.
• Drive process re‑engineering, change management and automation initiatives to improve service quality and cost efficiency.
• Monitor KPIs and SLAs, conduct service reviews with vendors and banking partners, and maintain high service standards.
• Supervise a portfolio of projects focused on process enhancement, product development and automation, providing guidance to the project team.
• Oversee IT functions including application support, development and infrastructure, ensuring audit and compliance adherence.
• Manage the creation and upkeep of operations manuals, user guides and training materials, promoting cross‑functional training.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or a related field.
• 12‑15 years of banking operations experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record in managing operational teams and delivering projects.
• Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, operational risk controls and compliance standards.
• Strategic leadership, operational excellence and change‑management capabilities.

Required skills

• Familiarity with core banking systems, wealth management platforms and IT infrastructure (preferred).
