CFO - Fintech

About the role

OPay, a fintech company founded in 2019 offering payment and digital wallet services in Africa and Asia, is looking for a Chief Financial Officer. The role is handled through a third-party agency for local employment in the US, as OPay has no legal entity there at present. The ideal candidate is a US citizen with investment banking and fintech CFO experience.

Key responsibilities

• Own listing matters, including approving financial statements, public information, pricing, IPO and roadshow.
• Set financial rules adapted to the growth of overseas business across companies and regions.
• Manage the financial affairs of the regional company in each country, including the financial team, operations, budget supervision and management.
• Track and analyse financial indicators and budgets, and give timely disclosure and early warnings of operational and management issues to senior decision-makers.
• Take part in major decisions and propose early warnings and measures on finance, capital, risk control and policy.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in finance and economics or above.
• 10+ years of experience at top investment banks or technology corporations.
• Solid knowledge and hands-on experience leading IPOs, and successful leadership of M&A deals (pre- and post-investment) and US stock listings.
• Experience as CFO or Chief Investment Officer in US-listed fintech companies is highly preferred.
• Strategic thinking, strong influence and negotiation skills, global mindset and cross-cultural leadership.

Work arrangement: about 60-70% remote and 30-40% in the OPay Singapore office.
