Chef – Kitchen Operations Manager

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Chef to support the Sous Chef in running our catering kitchens. This full‑time position involves preparing dishes for buffet and à la carte service while maintaining high standards of quality, quantity, and cleanliness.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Sous Chef in daily kitchen operations and workflow management.
• Organise and prepare dishes for buffet and à la carte menus, ensuring timely mise en place.
• Monitor production levels to match business needs and maintain quality and quantity standards.
• Inspect kitchen equipment, report issues to the Sous Chef, and prepare work orders for engineering.
• Maintain refrigerator cleanliness, set up work stations each day, and collaborate with stewarding on overall sanitation.

Required profile

• Experience supporting a Sous Chef or senior kitchen staff in a catering environment.
• Familiarity with buffet and à la carte food preparation processes.
• Ability to monitor production output and uphold quality standards.
• Attention to equipment condition and willingness to coordinate maintenance requests.
• Commitment to kitchen cleanliness and sanitation practices.
