Chief Analytics Officer, Life and Health

About the role

As Chief Analytics Officer for Life and Health, you will shape the regional analytics strategy for Munich Re’s APAC MEA business. Based in Singapore, you will lead the Regional Analytics Centre, guiding a high‑performing team of data scientists and engineers to deliver AI‑driven solutions across the insurance value chain.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute a regional analytics roadmap aligned with global priorities.
• Identify and champion AI/ML opportunities in underwriting, pricing, claims and customer experience.
• Lead, mentor and grow a diverse team, fostering a culture of innovation and best‑practice model governance.
• Oversee the end‑to‑end analytics lifecycle from data acquisition to model deployment and monitoring.
• Collaborate with actuaries, underwriters, IT and global analytics teams to co‑develop solutions and new business models.
• Stay ahead of emerging AI, InsurTech and cloud trends, driving adoption of modern data platforms and APIs.

Required profile

• Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science or related field.
• Extensive experience leading data science or analytics functions in the insurance or financial services sector.
• Proven track record of delivering large‑scale AI/ML projects that generate business impact.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to translate technical insights into strategic recommendations.
