Chief Engineer - Facilities Engineering

About the role

JLL is looking for a Chief Engineer (Lead Engineer) in its commercial real estate business in Singapore. The role drives technological innovation and excellence in property management, covering facilities management, asset maintenance, compliance and environmental health and safety. It is an on-site position.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Account Lead with tenant liaison and resolve property issues promptly
• Oversee contract compliance, risk management and security guidelines, including badge processes
• Lead environmental health and safety programs, emergency response plans and EHS training
• Maintain CMMS for work orders and assets, and manage helpdesk, end-user forums and complaint systems
• Develop asset management strategies for hard services with lifecycle planning
• Run predictive, preventive and corrective maintenance programs and manage subcontractors
• Oversee hazardous materials, electronic waste and hazardous waste collection, storage and disposal
• Coordinate engineering support for elevators, plumbing and building mechanical systems
• Manage MRO supplies and tools inventory, monitor building efficiency metrics and oversee tenant fit-outs
• Provide team performance reviews, coaching, training and mentoring, and coach staff to meet KPIs

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management or a related field
• 10+ years in facilities engineering or property management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
• Experience managing CMMS, EHS compliance, contract management and subcontractor oversight
• Knowledge of asset lifecycle management and preventive maintenance programs
