Chief Operating Officer (COO) – Family Office

About the role

The family office is seeking a seasoned Chief Operating Officer to lead day‑to‑day operations, governance, finance and investment support functions. Reporting directly to the principals, the COO will ensure the office executes its strategic and investment objectives efficiently and with the highest level of discretion.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations, aligning execution with strategic and investment goals.
• Partner with principals to implement and monitor investment strategies.
• Lead budgeting, financial reporting, treasury management and internal controls.
• Establish robust governance, risk management and operational control frameworks.
• Manage investment operations, portfolio reporting and transaction documentation.
• Maintain relationships with banks, custodians, auditors, legal counsel, tax advisors and investment managers.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, legal, tax and governance requirements.
• Drive process improvements, operational excellence and infrastructure upgrades.
• Prepare management reports and provide financial insights for decision‑making.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics or related field; professional accounting qualifications a plus.
• Extensive experience in family offices, asset management, investment banking or comparable financial services.
• Deep understanding of investment operations, financial management, governance and risk oversight.
• Proven ability to manage senior stakeholder relationships in a confidential environment.
• Strong commercial acumen, sound judgement and problem‑solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with principals and external parties.
• High professionalism, discretion and integrity.
